This special session brought together E50A members and Harvard Alumni for an evening of thought-provoking discussion on global economic cycles, geopolitical shifts, and the evolving landscape of investment opportunities. Jim Rogers shared his long-term insights on resilience, foresight, and the principles that guide successful enterprises through changing times.

The Enterprise 50 Association’s Annual General Meeting was held alongside a Ministerial Dialogue featuring Guest-of-Honour Minister Tan See Leng. This signature event brought together E50 members for an engaging and forward-looking session on Singapore’s economic landscape and the evolving role of enterprises in driving innovation and resilience.

Attendees were also privileged to hear from Ms Selena Ling, Chief Economist and Head of Treasury Research & Strategy at OCBC, who delivered an insightful market outlook presentation. The Enterprise 50 Association hosted a high-level business networking forum with a 13-member delegation from the Government of Tajikistan. The session provided an opportunity for members to learn more about Tajikistan’s economic priorities and explore potential areas for bilateral collaboration.

Distinguished guests included:

  • H.E. Sherali Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technologies (Head of Delegation)
  • H.E. Sulton Rahimzoda, Chairman, State Committee on Investments and State Property Management
  • H.E. Sharifzoda Firuz, Deputy Chairman, National Bank of Tajikistan

The delegation presented investment opportunities across sectors including energy, logistics, technology, and infrastructure. The event concluded with an open networking lunch where members exchanged views with the visiting officials.

This combined session brought together E50 members for the Association’s Annual General Meeting, followed by a Ministerial Dialogue with DPM Heng Swee Keat.

Held under the theme “Ready for Tomorrow,” the dialogue addressed challenges and opportunities for Singapore businesses navigating a complex global environment. DPM Heng shared his perspectives on resilience, competitiveness, and long-term transformation efforts relevant to the enterprise community.

The evening concluded with a networking dinner, which featured a market outlook presentation by Ms. Selena Ling, Chief Economist at OCBC.

E50 Association supported SHE’s initiative “Beyond the Horizon,” a dialogue focused on anticipating geopolitical developments and Singapore’s future landscape. Held in a closed-door setting, the event brought together over 100 women leaders to engage with Minister K. Shanmugam on issues related to national direction, global risks, and the role of women in policy and leadership.

The event was part of SHE’s ongoing efforts to provide a platform for women to contribute perspectives to public discourse and decision-making.

E50A hosted its 2024 Chinese New Year Gathering bringing members together to usher in the Year of the Dragon in a warm and lively setting. The evening featured a traditional Yusheng toss, where members and guests participated in the festive ritual to invite good fortune and prosperity.

The atmosphere was designed to foster connection and conversation, with many members actively engaging in new introductions and strengthening ties within the E50 community. The curated dinner menu blended classic Lunar New Year flavours with contemporary elements, paying homage to tradition while embracing modern refinement.

E50 Association was a supporting partner of SHE’s inaugural Annual Symposium, which focused on gender equity, mindset shifts, and inclusion. Held under the theme “Changing Mindsets, Changing Lives,” the symposium featured discussions on bridging gender gaps and empowering young women to better understand workplace realities and opportunities.

Guests of honour included:

  • Ms. Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State
  • Ms. Sun Xueling, Minister of State

The event also included two expert panels that explored current societal gender stereotypes and shared global case studies on addressing challenges in equity and inclusion.

The symposium was part of SHE’s broader effort to mentor young women through its Sneak Peek Program, helping them build confidence, career awareness, and social capital.

E50A members gathered for a year-end get-together hosted by CornerStone Wines, themed “Discovery of the Decade.” The event featured an exclusive cellar tour and guided tasting experience, offering a curated selection of wines paired with thoughtfully presented canapés.

Guests explored a diverse range of flavours and varietals in a relaxed, sociable atmosphere, marking a memorable close to the year’s calendar. The evening provided a refreshing platform for members to unwind, connect, and discover new favourites from CornerStone’s celebrated wine collection.

9 – 11 October 2023

E50 Association participated in the Hong Kong Fintech Delegation 2023, an immersive three-day overseas programme organised by the Hong Kong–Singapore Business Association. The delegation brought together leaders from Singapore’s enterprise sector to engage in high-level dialogue with Hong Kong officials, regulators, and tech innovators.

The programme included attendance at the Hong Kong-ASEAN Summit 2023, where Chief Executive Mr. John Lee delivered the keynote address, followed by sessions featuring Singapore’s Minister for Manpower Dr. Tan See Leng and senior ASEAN representatives.

Delegates also visited key institutions and innovation hubs, including:

  • Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) for regulatory and digital finance briefings
  • Centre for Legal Innovation and Digital Society (CLINDS) to discuss AI and data privacy law
  • Ping An OneConnect and Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP) for fintech demonstrations and entrepreneurial networking
  • InvestHK and South China Morning Post for discussions on digital licensing and global tech trends

The visit offered participants valuable insights into cross-border innovation, regulatory harmonisation, and the future of fintech collaboration.

The E50 Association hosted its Annual General Meeting and Ministerial Dialogue on 4 August 2023, with the Honourable Ms. Indranee Rajah as Guest of Honour. In a moderated dialogue led by Ms. Selena Ling, members engaged in meaningful discussions on economic outlook, financial policy, and enterprise resilience in the national context.

The event also marked an important leadership transition for E50A. Members expressed their appreciation to Ms. Susan Chong, outgoing President, for her years of dedicated service. The event welcomed Ms. Yeah Lee Ching as the newly appointed President, alongside the incoming Management Committee for 2023–2025.

The E50 Association held a Ministerial Dialogue with Minister Gan Kim Yong, who spoke on the topic “Singapore Global Enterprises.” The session focused on the evolving role of Singapore enterprises in global markets, with Minister Gan offering strategic insights on internationalisation, economic resilience, and business transformation.

The session was skillfully moderated by Professor Hsieh Tsun-Yan and attended by E50 members in an interactive setting. Participants engaged in meaningful dialogue, gaining a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing globally minded enterprises today.

The 22nd Annual General Meeting of the E50 Association welcomed members for an important leadership session, moderated ministerial dialogue, and formal introduction of the new Management Committee for 2021–2023.

The dialogue featured Dr. Tan See Leng, who shared perspectives on Singapore’s manpower strategy, trade outlook, and post-pandemic economic positioning. The conversation was moderated by Ms. Selena Ling, who facilitated member engagement around workforce transformation, policy updates, and strategic business adaptability.

E50 Association was honoured to participate as an industry partner in the #SGUnited Skills Business and Digital Transformation Programme. This initiative, led by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), was designed to equip individuals—particularly those in SMEs—with critical skills to adapt to a changing economy, enhance digital capabilities, and support enterprise transformation.

The curriculum was developed in alignment with business objectives to promote employability and workforce resilience. The hybrid-format event featured keynote remarks, panel discussions with leaders in education and industry, and a signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between SkillsFuture Singapore and Enterprise Singapore.

 

Speakers included representatives from SSG, Enterprise Singapore, and the E50 Association, highlighting the importance of collaboration in supporting national reskilling efforts.

The E50 Association collaborated with the Singapore Exchange (SGX) to host a dedicated IPO Seminar for its members. The event offered practical guidance for companies considering a public listing, along with strategic insights from market practitioners.

Speakers included representatives from SGX, UOB, Bird & Bird, KPMG, and listed companies such as ValueMax Group and Hyphens Pharma. Through expert panels and case studies, attendees gained clarity on IPO preparation, legal considerations, investor relations, and post-listing obligations.

Hosted in partnership with BLAC, the session featured guided tours and presentations by ARTC experts, showcasing innovative research and applications in areas such as robotics, automation, and precision engineering.
